@Road,with headquarters in Fremont, Calif., has introduced @Road TimeConnectSM, an automated time tracking and task management application for NextelGPS-enabled mobile phones

The application enables automatic capture and transmittal of time and task details with the push of a button. Mobile workers can select from preformatted messages to record job start and stop times, task start and stop times within a job, as well as break times.
From any Internet-connected PC, managers can see the status of any job and which workers are on break or available for work. Managers can print time sheet and task reports, and export time sheet and task data directly into payroll, accounting and other back office systems.
@Road TimeConnect is a free feature for @Road Pocket Edition and @Road Pathway customers and is available for Nextel’s i58, i88 and i730 phones by Motorola. The application can be downloaded directly from the @Road application menu on any of these Nextel handsets. Of course, users must be on the Nextel network.
@Road also introduced GeoManagerSM Pocket Edition and @Road PathwaySM services for Nextel’s i730 color phone. These packages provice advanced features including configurable time-in-transit, start-stop and mileage reports; historical location information; customer-configurable maps and user-defined landmarks; store-and-forward of data for workers leaving coverage areas and automated time tracking and task management.
