Report on Board Offers HOS Recorder

A fully-compliant electronic on-board recorder designed specifically for Hours of Service and IFTA reporting has been unveiled by Report On Board LLC.
ROB is a low-cost EOBR with automatic data uploads at a retail price under $500 and no accident re-creation capability.
“ROB meets all regulatory requirements for driver logs,” says Andrew Seamons, Report On Board’s chairman. “We designed ROB from the truck up, not the software down. ROB is a rugged, tamperproof and easy-to-use on-board recorder automatically capturing HOS and IFTA data with the absolute minimum driver interaction,” Seamons added.
“ROB is an incredible brain,” says Alan C. Lesesky, ROB’s chief engineer. “We engineered ROB for trucks, drivers and fleets. It’s a breeze to use. We even provide drivers with time remaining in duty status so the driver always knows where he’s at.”
Measuring 2 inches by seven inches, ROB fits into a standard DIN slot. Driver training takes 15 minutes and installation less than 30 minutes. In a departure from common thinking, Report on Board believes that aftermarket installation of ROB will be less costly than OEM installed units, although, “OEMs can provide ROB-ready wiring and dashboard real estate for the easiest aftermarket installation on new trucks,” adds Lesesky.
