Mark your calendar now for TCA’s 68th Annual Convention taking place at the Gaylord Palms Resort in Orlando, Fla., from March 12-15, 2006.
The theme of this year’s convention is “Power to Move” and many of the roundtables, speakers and workshops will provide valuable ideas to help companies traverse the varied issues facing the trucking industry.
TCA Chairman Dave Berry said, “TCA’s annual convention helps provide the tools that make you better at moving your business to greater profitability and advances our industry into a stronger position to meet tomorrow’s needs. Knowledge is power and the 68th Annual Convention will provide you with ample opportunity to educate yourself through a wide range of topics in our roundtable and workshop sessions.”
Rich Karlgaard, publisher of Forbes, the world’s most popular business and financial magazine, will share his outlook on the economy, workplace and America at Monday’s General Session. Attendees will also hear from industry experts Thomas Albrecht, managing director of Stephens Inc.; and Ed Mortimer, director of transportation infrastructure for the United States Chamber of Commerce, who will forecast the future of trucking, fuel supply and the health of the business community.
TCA’s popular Trucking in the Round program will include discussion on today’s hottest topics including owner-operator trends, APUs, private advisory boards, improving retention and wealth management. The 2006 convention will feature more than 56,000 square feet of products and services and top-shelf entertainment including an appearance by comedian Tom Ryan.
