The National Truck Equipment Association has opened registration for The Work Truck Show 2010, which will be held in conjunction with its Annual Convention, March 10-12, 2010, in St. Louis, Mo

. Attendees can choose between more than 40 different training sessions focused on improving operations, including a full-day Fleet Management Symposium and a Truck Fleet Manager Training Session & Networking Luncheon.

The convention, along with the training sessions and the Green Truck Summit, will begin March 9, while the show floor opens March 10.

"We know that organizations have to consider all travel costs very carefully," said Allen Birmingham, NTEA Convention chairman and national sales manager of Tommy Gate Co. "We've teamed up with the industry's leading companies to put together an unmatched line-up of training, new product launches and equipment that you just can't find anywhere else."

The Work Truck Show 2010 will showcase Class 1-8 trucks, components and specialized equipment from a diverse range of global manufacturers. In addition, new products are launched at the Work Truck Show.

The Fleet Management Symposium is a full-day program for fleet and shop managers, focusing on financial and operational practices that can reduce costs while increasing shop labor productivity. The symposium is led by fleet consultant Kelly Walker, president of Kelly Walker Associates, Dallas, Texas.

The Truck Fleet Manager Training Session & Networking Luncheon will cover "What's Wildly Important - Using Data to Manage Fleet Costs." Steve Saltzgiver, director of the State of Georgia Office of Fleet Management, will share ideas and success stories about reducing and controlling fleet costs. The luncheon also gives fleet managers an opportunity to meet and learn from each other.

Some of the other educational sessions designed for fleet managers include: Fleet Management Survival Strategies for the Next Decade, Optimizing Work Truck Body and Equipment Design, Trailer and Towing Factors for Class 1-4 Trucks, and Spec'ing Truck Chassis to Match Job Requirements and Optimize Performance.

In addition, William Shatner will present the keynote address at the president's breakfast and NTEA Annual Meeting on March 11.
