RBX Transportation Adds Trip Alert Software from IDSC
RBX Transportation Inc., which provides dry van transportation services east of the Rocky Mountains in the United States and Canada, has added IDSC's Trip Alert exception alert software solution to its technology program.

RBX Transportation is an existing customer of Expert Fuel fuel optimization software and Netwise Enterprise planning and decision support software from Integrated Decision Support Corp. (IDSC).
Tom Mangan, CFO of RBX Transportation Inc., said, "Notification of potential late arrivals allows us to be pro-active and prevent service failures and to offer our customers the service and security they demand."
Trip Alert monitors the power unit along the entire trip ensuring that the driver is taking the most efficient and safe route to the customer. Managers have visual status of their entire fleet at-a-glance coupled with the ability to zoom in on a specific power unit. Custom and standard geofencing along with historical and real-time reporting capabilities offer the information necessary to optimize driver and fleet performance.
Trip Alert is fully-integrated to dispatch, mobile communications, and leading routing systems that generate hazmat and trailer compatible routes. Trip Alert evaluates dispatched power units and flags any out-of-route or projected late and instantly notifies the dispatcher or fleet manager. Considered in the determination of Trip Alert are capacity (single/team), average vehicle speed, available DOT hours to drive, current location/date/time, planned route and schedule. Trip Alert also identifies swap candidates, which allow the dispatcher to exchange loads in-transit in order to minimize service failures while maximizing equipment utilization and driver time at home.
