Rand McNally’s Transportation Data Management subsidiary has released an enhanced version of IntelliRoute software.

The extensive upgrades to IntelliRoute include updated highway data and location points that facilitate calculation of driver pay, accurate fuel tax reporting and the auditing of tax records and driver logs. Fleets can route around known restrictions and avoid fines with IntelliRoute’s 10 classifications of up-to-date hazardous materials designations.
The enhanced IntelliRoute enables route comparison and rate negotiating with updated Household Goods miles. The software provides current truck attributes for travel by 48-foot and 53-foot trailers and double and triple configurations.
IntelliRoute now includes 800,000 Canadian Postal codes that provide tens of thousands of additional cross-border routing points, vastly improving the efficiency of Canadian travel and routing throughout North America. The new tracking logic of IntelliRoute software provides more accurate tracking compared to the actual driven route. The software’s RoadWork construction alert routes drivers around congested areas.
IntelliRoute software is available as standalone software or as the base software for add-on features such as IFTA tax calculations through RoadTax software. IntelliRoute software supports a variety of business operating systems, including, AS/400s, Unix, and Windows.
