Rand McNally Integrates Lane Rate With Mileage, Routing Software
Rand McNally has launched a new commercial trucking module that integrates lane rate information and analysis with the company's IntelliRoute suite.
Rand McNally has launched a new commercial trucking module that integrates lane rate information and analysis with the company's IntelliRoute suite.
The IntelliRoute Lane Rates module uses data compiled from more than 12 million actual and current freight bills from truckload carriers.
Using IntelliRoute Lane Rates, truckload carriers can evaluate lanes throughout the continental United States and Canada, and bid more effectively. Users with Internet access also can view rate trends – reliable market information that helps them review current lanes and gives them options for bidding on new routes. As a result, carriers can offer more competitive quotes to earn more business and lock in more competitive rates.
Bernie Hockswender, director of sales for Rand McNally Commercial Transportation, said, "By having rates and rate trends for any given lane at their fingertips, IntelliRoute Lane Rates users can create effective strategies for managing the lanes that most impact their businesses."
"Access to an updated rate index equips fleet carriers with competitive market intelligence, which allows them to target profitable markets, optimize allocation of resources and negotiate better rates," says Rick Murphy, president and CEO of Integrated Decision Support Corp., the company behind Truckloadrate.com. "By integrating market rate information with a trusted mileage and routing source, IntelliRoute Lane Rates helps carriers strategically and more efficiently manage their operations from a single software package."
Companies interested in learning more about IntelliRoute Lane Rates should contact Bernie Hockswender, director of sales, at (800) 234-4069.
