StarTrak LLC, a provider of advanced wireless supply chain management solutions for the freight transportation industries, has announced that R&R Transportation Inc. has signed a contract
to deploy StarTrak's ReeferTrak Commander product on its fleet of refrigerated trailers.
Commander is a satellite-based solution that gives transportation companies full two-way command and control authority over their reefer assets and loads while in transit.
The ReeferTrak system will give R&R Transportation the ability to track, monitor and control its refrigerated trailer fleet throughout North America. The system helps freight transportation companies improve their situational awareness and helps to assure that refrigerated trailers reach their destination with their loads maintained at the proper temperature.
"We selected the StarTrak system because of their proven track record and the value proposition their product presented," said Roger Westlund, president and CEO of R&R Transportation. "The system shows great potential for our business and I expect to see a rapid return on our investment."
R&R Transportation was incorporated in 1987 and provides dry van and refrigerated truckload and LTL freight transportation services throughout the U.S., Canada and Mexico. In addition to Audubon, Minn., the company operates from regional terminals located in Los Angeles, Cleveland and Chicago.
