Qualcomm and Wynne Systems, which provides business software for the equipment rental industry, have integrated the RentalMan Dispatch Module with Qualcomm's wireless fleet management systems OmniTracs and OmniExpress.
The RentalMan software streamlines accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchasing, equipment maintenance, rental and sales management, and sales analysis.
Qualcomm's fleet management solutions enable equipment rental companies to more efficiently dispatch and route delivery and service vehicles, reducing operational costs and capital expenditures on new vehicles. Rental companies are able to offer their customers better information about equipment deliveries and service.
United Rentals, the world's largest equipment rental company, is deploying OmniTracs and OmniExpress on its fleet of up to 10,000 delivery, service, sales and highway technology vehicles. The company, with a network of more than 740 locations in 47 states, seven Canadian provinces, and Mexico, is taking advantage of the new integrated RentalMan/Qualcomm capabilities.
