Qualcomm Enhances FleetAdvisor, Signs H.T. Hackney Fleet
Qualcomm Inc., San Diego, Ca., has introduced the latest version of the FleetAdvisor system, including support for new hours of service regulations issued in April

FleetAdvisor is a transportation management system that supports automated on-board computing, vehicle tracking, integrated back-office software and real-time wireless communications. With this enhanced solution, FleetAdvisor customers will be compliant and paperless when the new hours of service rules take effect on Jan. 4, 2004.
FleetAdvisor product enhancements include automation of the software installation process to reduce the possibility of manual error entries.
Qualcomm said it has updated the FleetAdvisor host and mobile software, as well as system documentation, and developed new reports to reflect the new hours of service changes.
At the same time, Qualcomm announced that the H.T. Hackney Co., one of the largest wholesale distributors in the United States, has selected its FleetAdvisor fleet management system to automate driver logs and track state mileage for fuel tax reporting. FleetAdvisor will be installed on the entire H.T. Hackney fleet of over 500 units at 33 locations.
H.T. Hackney specializes in short haul, multiple stop deliveries to food convenience stores, drug stores, supermarkets and restaurants.
