A Puerto Rican company plans to train a large number of locals to be truck drivers and lease them to North American truck fleets.

World-Wide Solutions Inc. will expand their truck driving school facility on the island and train people for the Commercial Drivers License as well as improve their proficiency in the English language.
After training, the new drivers will be leased to fleets in U.S. and Canada. In return for training, drivers must commit to three years of service with World Wide.
The new venture is partly funded by the Puerto Rico Industrial Development Co. (PRIDCO), a government corporation which provides tax incentives and the construction and lease of buildings to house industry on the island.
PRIDCO expects the venture to result in 2,000 new jobs on the island and inject nearly $66 million into the island's economy annually.
