Pressure Systems International (PSI) has recognized Fed Ex Freight as their Fleet of the Year for the 2nd consecutive time.
Frank Sonzala, Executive Vice President for PSI presented the 2009 award to Dan Umpress, MD Vehicle Solutions, Fed Ex Freight.
FedEx Freight, along with FedEx Ground and FedEx Express, received the Fleet of the Year designation in 2008.
"Suppliers to the trailer industry, like PSI, have had a challenging couple of years. It's only with the support of fleets like FedEx Freight that the percentage of trailers equipped with the Meritor Tire Inflation System by PSI continues to grow. MTIS is recognized as the leader in this SmartWay recommended technology," Sonzala noted while thanking Umphress and FedEx Freight for their continued support.
