Profit Tools, Newmarket, N.H., has released version 3.0 of its business, operations, and e-commerce software product line, Profit Tools for Trucking.

New features include document imaging; an automated rating and order-entry tool, improved settlements and accounts payable functions; more accounting integrations; and enhancements to equipment tracking, brokerage, and printed output. According to Profit Tools marketing director Quentin Eastman, all the changes focus on helping users compete as the industry shifts toward e-commerce.
Eastman said the company has also launched an Internet-based service called LiveLoad.net, which allows smaller carriers to provide low-cost, web-based service to customers. LiveLoad.net provides carriers with a web site their customers can use to access general information, request rates or tender shipments.
Other functions such as proof-of-delivery will be added to those currently available, Eastman said.
Profit Tools software and LiveLoad.Net can be used by both truckload and LTL carriers.
