Phillips Industries recently invited Bruce Purkey, president of Purkey's Electrical Consulting, to teach the company's field representatives how to better their diagnostic and problem solving techniques.
Purkey presented hands-on electronic measuring instrument training with emphasis on using equipment such as multimeters, with the Phillip's line of electrical products. Bill Phillips, director of sales for Phillips Industries, arranged the training because, "We want our field personnel to be as well-informed as possible so they can solve electrical problems for their fleet customers when they are in the field.
"Bruce's extensive field experience with diagnosing and troubleshooting fleets' electrical problems makes him one of the nation's most effective trainers in the business. With his simple approach to identifying root causes to common problems, he has increased the effectiveness of our sales team, and helped create a resource to assist in resolving some of the most expensive problems fleets face today."
Purkey's Electrical Consulting, Inc., based in Rogers, Ark., offers training to companies designed to match their product lines to their specific needs.
In addition to classes conducted for commercial vehicle industry suppliers, Purkey also leads training sessions at the Technology and Maintenance Council meetings and other industry events. He can be reached at (479) 621-8282.
