Petro Stopping Centers presented a check for $48,842 to the United Services Organization (USO) following a recent fund-raising drive to benefit the organization that helps the morale of troops around the world. Petro pledged one dollar to the USO

for every Chicken Fried Steak dinner ordered in the month of May and also sold "I Support our Troops" window clings with all proceeds going to the USO.
"Our customers and employees demonstrated their deep support and appreciation for our military forces with the money that was raised in this effort," said David McClure, marketing director for Petro Stopping Centers.
In acknowledging the contribution, Kathy Mejasich, vice president of corporate alliances for the USO said, "We gratefully accept this check on behalf of the service men and women we support. These funds will greatly assist as we work through USO units all over the world to improve the morale and well being of our U.S. military personnel and their families. It is very satisfying and encouraging to partner with companies like Petro as they help fund the USO." She added, "And those USO decals will be out there for a long time as friendly reminders of what the USO is all about."
