Peterbilt honored its 2008 North American Dealer of the Year and Medium Duty Dealer of the Year at the Peterbilt Annual Dealer Meeting.

Idaho Falls Peterbilt was honored as the North American Dealer of the Year. Blake Jackson, dealer principal, received the award for the dealership's improvements in market share, market growth, parts and service sales and customer service.

Peterbilt presented the award for 2008 Medium Duty Truck Dealer of the Year to Bob Hunter, dealer principal of Hunter Peterbilt in Smithfield, Pa., the second consecutive year Hunter has achieved the honor.
The award comes on the heels of Hunter celebrating its 25th anniversary under the Peterbilt name.

Under Jackson's leadership, Idaho Falls focused on excellent customer service while growing sales and increasing its line of products at the same time, according to Peterbilt. Jackson runs seven different Peterbilt locations in Colorado, Idaho and Utah.

"Blake Jackson is a perfect example of what dedication and vision can achieve," said Bill Jackson, Peterbilt general manager and Paccar vice president.

Hunter was chosen for its dedication to marketing and supporting the Peterbilt medium-duty product line, which has seen gains in market share and a boost in sales. Peterbilt touts Hunter's customer service, body-builder relationships, marketing expertise and utilization of the company's resources.

"Hunter Peterbilt is successful because they market the full range of Peterbilt Medium Duty models to a wide spectrum of customers with multiple applications. The Hunter family of dealerships has a diverse sales and marketing approach which is a perfect complement to the versatility of our Peterbilt Medium Duty Models 325, 330, 335 and 340," said Bill Jackson, Peterbilt general manager and Paccar vice president.

The Hunters own 12 Peterbilt locations across Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York. The Hunter Keystone Peterbilt in Lancaster, Pa., won a Best in Class award this year. Peterbilt also honored stores in Lancaster, Uniontown and Eau Claire, Pa., for sales and service excellence, which Hunter has received every year since 1992.

Peterbilt also presented several other awards for 2008, including those honoring Best in Class dealers and sales and service excellence.
