More than 200 Peterbilt dealership parts managers from throughout North America convened in Dallas for the 2005 Peterbilt Parts Leadership Conference,

where they attended business strategy meetings, participated in workshops and honored their peers receiving Manager of Excellence awards.
Structured around a theme of “Technology, Opportunity: A Formula for Success,” the two-day event featured a tour of Peterbilt’s manufacturing facility in Denton, Texas, and interactive sessions showcasing the wide array of technologies utilized by Peterbilt dealerships.
“Peterbilt’s commitment to total customer support is fortified through our dealership parts departments’ ability to serve customers efficiently and effectively,” said Scott Pearson, Peterbilt’s assistant general manager of sales and marketing. “Through Peterbilt’s TruckCare parts and services, customers are provided with complete aftermarket support throughout ownership of their vehicle.”
During an awards dinner and ceremony at the conference, Peterbilt recognized its top-performing dealership parts managers.
Lee Anderson, parts manager for Peterbilt of Utah, received the highest honor and was named Peterbilt’s North American Parts Manager of Excellence. Anderson has worked within the Peterbilt network for more than 20 years and joined Peterbilt of Utah in 1998. Since that time, he has helped grow the dealership’s parts business by 600 percent using a “right part, right place, right time” approach to serve his customers.
Regional winners of the Peterbilt Parts Manager of Excellence awards are:
· Great Lakes Region Parts Manager of Excellence – Rick Tames, Peterbilt of Council Bluffs (Council Bluffs, Iowa);
· Southwest Region Parts Manager of Excellence – Mike Howell, Rush Peterbilt Truck Center-Winter Garden (Winter Garden, Fla.);
· Northeast Region Parts Manager of Excellence – Greg Blessing, Hunter Keystone Peterbilt (Lancaster, Pa.);
· Midwest Region Parts Manager of Excellence – Alan Garms, Rush Peterbilt Truck Center-Houston;
· Canadian Region Parts Manager of Excellence – Stan Potie, Frontier Peterbilt Sales (Saskatoon, Saskatchewan).
