Santa Fe Springs, Calif.-based Performance Team landed on Inbound Logistics' list of Top 100 Third-Party Logistics Providers for 2010.
Using a list of over 300 companies, the trade magazine narrows it down to the top 100 3PLs in the business.
Inbound Logistics bases its selection by evaluating submitted information, conducting personal interviews and online research, and comparing that data to their readers' burgeoning global supply chain and logistics challenges. The service providers that are selected are companies that offer the diverse operational capabilities and experience to meet readers' supply chain and logistics needs.
"Given the growing complexity of mastering global supply chain management, the role 3PLs play continues to become increasingly important," said Felecia Stratton, editor of Inbound Logistics. "Recent economic times have forced companies to deal with product scalability, demand volatility, access to capacity, and matching inventory more tightly to demand. Cutting transport costs is also very important, but Inbound Logistics readers say that great 3PL relationships are built not just on cost savings but on consistent customer service.
"Performance Team qualifies as an Inbound Logistics 2010 Top 100 3PL Provider because it provides a high level of customer service and has shown consistent results in helping customers navigate stormy economic times. Performance Team has also demonstrated ability in helping leading enterprises achieve the efficiency and scalability so important to success in today's global economic climate."
