PeopleNet Links Up With OTS for Paperless Tax Reporting
PeopleNet Communications, Chaska, Minn., and OTS have announced they have partnered to offer full-service, paperless fuel tax reporting and recovery service

with a specialty on power take off (PTO) and idle fuel tax reporting and recovery.
PeopleNet is a mobile communications and trucking technology provider. OTS is a full-service tax outsource provider for the transportation industry.
“Several of our tanker customers have already chosen OTS to help them recover PTO and idle fuel taxes. PeopleNet helps make the process 100% paperless through automatic reporting of GPS information and PTO fuel consumption,” said Glenn Williams, senior product marketing manager for PeopleNet.
Using the fuel tax services of OTS, automated by PeopleNet’s accurate reporting of GPS information, fleets receive:
• All compliance reports available online via OTS’ fuel tax portal.
• Preparation and filing of all specific road tax returns, including IFTA and all applicable mileage tax returns in the United States and Canada.
• PTO fuel used and individual idle events, reefer fuel, and idle time recovery, if available.
• Out-of-route maps and reports including fleet miles-per-gallon, IRP licensing and fuel/roaduse charge back reporting.
• Free audit support.
This service is offered in addition to PeopleNet’s Fuel Tax Online, which has been offered to customers since 1999, and other fuel tax reporting options through PeopleNet partners.
For more information, contact PeopleNet at 888-208-8110 or OTS at 877-445-2058.
