Bering Truck Corp. has named Penske Logistics to provide national parts, warehousing, distribution and customer support for Bering truck dealers. Through this agreement, Bering also will be able to provide its dealers and customers a toll-free, 24-hour parts support line. Parts will be warehoused at a centrally located distribution center in Canton, OH.
“Although we are a new U.S. truck company, our relationship with Penske Logistics enables us to provide a level of customer support service comparable to that offered by long-established truck manufacturers,” says William Anderson Jr., president and CEO of Bering.
Bering customers and dealers also will be able to get product information and order parts via an Internet-based system.
Bering, established in 1997, recently began shipping its first trucks to dealers. The trucks are currently assembled in Korea with Hyundai cabs and U.S.-made powertrains and components. The company is building an American assembly plant at its headquarters in Front Royal, VA.
