Penske Truck Leasing has expanded into Albuquerque, N.M., with the addition of a 6,600-square-foot facility in the city.


The new one-story building, which is housed on 4 acres, will offer the company's truck leasing, consumer and commercial rental, and contract maintenance services. It includes two service bays and a wireless technology component that allows technicians to integrate vehicle diagnostic and repair software. The building also has special light bulbs with ballasts that use 50 percent less energy, and astronomical timers.

"This location contains a piece of history," stated Peter Weeks, senior vice president of the West region. "This Penske facility is the former site of a Route 66 truckstop that serviced the men and women of the transportation industry for many years. We kept the building's structure, and modernized it. In an effort to tap into the western area of Albuquerque, Penske decided to expand and capitalize on new opportunities."
