William Lorenzo of Kane, PA, was awarded a 1997 Winnebago Vectra Grand Tour motor home given away in a Freightliner Corp. drawing held at the Mid-America Trucking Show. Lorenzo was selected from more than 5,000 CDL holders in a drawing before the Freightliner-sponsored Reba McEntire concert.
The motor home, built on a Freightliner custom chassis, is a 35-foot long Winnebago powered by a 275-horsepower Caterpillar CFE 3126 turbocharged and aftercooled 7.2 liter engine.
Lorenzo has been an independent owner/operator hauling logs for more than 20 years. He has a contract with Northeast Hardwood in Marion, PA. “I still can’t believe I won. It’s quite a shock,” Lorenzo said. “I never thought I’d own a motor home.”
