Document management company Pegasus TransTech, Tampa, Fla., has installed an in-house Transflo digital document system for the Acklie Companies of Lincoln, Neb.
Acklie operates five truckload carriers, the best known of which is Crete Carriers.
Pegasus TransTech President and CEO Leslie Berlin said the installation replaced a totally manual document system. The change offered an opportunity to do more than simply replace the paper system. The new paperless system was built from the ground up after evaluation of current practices. "We were able to ask, 'What are we trying to do here?'" Berlin said.
Berlin would not reveal the dollar value of the transaction.
