PCS Software added the Rate Report Service to PCS Express Transportation Management Systems.


Companies using PCS's Transportation Management Systems will now be able to enter a new load into dispatch and immediately see the average industry rate for similar shipments. The graphical Rate Report Interface will show high, low, and average rates over a 12-month line graph. Dispatchers and customer service representatives will now be able to quickly and competitively bid on new freight orders. This service will also enable carriers and brokers to know what the competition is charging, and help them decide where they want to strategically fall into the marketplace.

Companies using PCS simply opt in to share rate data and become part of the average data set. All data is collected anonymously. The data collected only includes: pickup and delivery dates, origin and destination cities and states, commodity information, and total freight charges. No identifying information is collected at all.

PCS Software is including this service at no additional charge to companies that use the Express Online Transportation Management System or the Express Client-Server TMS, with a current support agreement.
