ALK Technologies, developers of advanced worldwide transportation technology solutions, has announced the integration of its PC*Miler routing and mileage solution
into the SAP Distance Determination Service (DDS) solution.
The service, which is a part of the SAP Railcar Management solution and an add-on component of the mySAP Business Suite, provides SAP customers throughout North America with an accurate and instantaneous method for retrieving and maintaining mileage data, as well as calculating mileage-dependent freight costs.
SAP expanded DDS in January to provide seamless customer access to PC*Miler mileage software, which offers an accurate North American highway database. PC*Miler supplies point-to-point distances between more than 310,000 United States, Canadian and Mexican-based locations accessed from more than 738,000 miles of North American highway.
PC*Miler is used by more than 20,000 motor carriers, shippers and logistics companies throughout the world.
