The Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Assn. (OOIDA) has launched a new finance program for purchase of trucks and trailers.
The OOIDA Truck and Trailer Finance Program is an alternative to dealer-arranged financing, allowing OOIDA members options to find the best deal when buying new and used equipment.
OOIDA has partnered with InsurLease, LLC of Sunbury Ohio, to offer small business truckers and small fleet owners competitive rates through multiple lenders, plus the advantages of direct financing, quick credit decisions, prequalification and straightforward documentation.
The OOIDA Finance Program will offer loans and leases to finance the purchase of new and used trucks and trailers. It will also be able to accommodate both dealer sales as well as the sale of equipment between individual truckers. An OOIDA spokesman said that will be a great benefit to OOIDA’s 119,000 members, many of whom sell used equipment to other members via the association’s web site and publication.
"Our membership constitutes the largest trucking fleet in the country and we are pleased that our new finance partnership will enable them to exercise more control of their purchase decisions and take advantage of their combined purchasing power and strength as a group,” said OOIDA President Jim Johnston.
