OnRamp Transportation Services, a transportation equipment leasing, sales, and contractor services company, is hiring up to a dozen employees in preparation for the grand opening of its new heavy trailer and truck parts and service center
located off I-15 and Craig Road in North Las Vegas at 4380 Donovan Way.
The company is investing in the area because it expects Las Vegas to have strong, long-term growth in the transportation industry.
"Despite the construction downturn that Las Vegas has seen, we feel the market presents a great opportunity for other segments of the industry, notably those that service the transport of refrigerated, dry, and specialty goods," says Ron Dimmick, vice president of facilities expansion for OnRamp. "The demand for trailer and truck repair and maintenance, relative to the area's ability to service that demand, makes this a strong location for OnRamp's next phase of growth." OnRamp is currently hiring positions in all areas including management, technicians and administrative support.
OnRamp will be hosting its grand opening event Tuesday, Feb. 28 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will include food from The Taste of Chicago, raffles and a ribbon-cutting ceremony with officials from the cities of North Las Vegas and Las Vegas. Those interested in attending can RSVP at onramplasvegas.eventbrite.com
