According to a press release from Australia, “At midday on the 18th of February 2006 at Clifton on the Darling Downs an attempt to break the World Record for the world’s longest road train with a single prime mover
as per Guinness World Records rules will be made.
“A brand new tri drive Mack Titan supplied by Mack Trucks Australia will be used to pull the trailers. The tyres will be supplied by Bridgestone Tyres and the turn table by Holland Hitches.
“A naming rights sponsor is being sort so the event can have a title.
“Driver John Atkinson will attempt to reclaim the record he helped set in Mungindi in March 2003.
“An estimated new record of 1,800 metres consisting of over 120 trailers will have to be moved more than 100 metres by a single prime mover.
“Fill in entertainment will keep spectators attention while the road train is being assembled.”
