Mack Trucks of Rochester, Minn., has acquired the assets of RDO Truck Center of Roseville, Minn., a franchised dealer for Mack and Volvo trucks, and renamed it Twin Cities Mack & Volvo Trucks.

The 48,000-square-foot facility, which has 70 employees, sits on nearly 10 acres of property located just off I-35 west.
The purchase adds a sixth branch location to the Nuss Truck Group of dealerships, according to its president and owner, Robert W. Nuss. "We've now filled the hole in the middle of our donut," he said. "The acquisition gives our organization a better opportunity to serve customers, as well as truck fleets that travel throughout Minnesota and western Wisconsin."
In addition to its Rochester and new Roseville, Minn., dealerships, The Nuss Truck Group operates Eau Claire Mack Sales, Eau Claire, Wis.; Lake Superior Mack Sales, Duluth, Minn.; Mankato Mack Sales, Mankato, Minn., and Central Minnesota Mack Sales, Sauk Rapids, Minn. It also offers full service and finance leasing through its subsidiary, Minnesota Truck Leasing, Rochester, Minn.
The sale of RDO Truck Center of Roseville, Minn., is the first step in RDO Equipment Co.’s plan to divest itself of most of its truck division, company officials have said.
Based in Fargo, N.D, RDO Equipment specializes in the distribution, sale, service, rental and finance of equipment and trucks. It operates the largest network of John Deere construction and agricultural equipment stores in North America.
RDO Equipment is selling off its truck operations and is narrowing its focus to core business lines made possible by the new dealership agreements signed with John Deere Construction Co.
RDO Equipment will hold onto its Fargo and Grand Forks, N.D. dealerships. It has dealerships in Fontana and Riverside, Calif.; Marshall, Minn., and Dallas and Fort Worth, Texas.
