Business owners will have an opportunity to better understand, measure, manage and improve customer service throughout their entire operation by attending a new seminar offered by the National Truck Equipment Association (NTEA).
"Closing the Gap: How to Win (and Keep) Customers through Competitive Differentiation" is scheduled May 23 at the Marriott Kansas City Airport Hotel (Kansas City, Mo).
The seminar, which will be held from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., provides distributors and manufacturers with strategies to move closer to their truck dealer and fleet customers and truly understand their needs in order to deliver solutions and maximum value.
Launched at the 43rd Annual NTEA Convention, "Closing the Gap" is a training tool to help truck equipment distributors and manufacturers identify existing opportunities in which they can improve their positions in the distribution channel, more successfully meet the needs of their fleet and dealer customers, and ultimately, achieve higher profits.
Registration fees for the seminar are $199 for members; $299 for nonmembers through May 11. After May 11, fees increase to $249 for members and $349 for nonmembers. To register, call 800-441-NTEA (6832), or look for a registration form that will be included in the April issue of the NTEA News. More information and a registration form are also available on www.ntea.com.
All seminar attendees will receive a copy of "Closing the Gap," which includes a workbook, survey results & data explanation, an education CD-ROM and a survey tool to obtain customer feedback specifically about their company and its products and services.
The NTEA has arranged a special group rate of $149 single/double plus applicable taxes at the Marriott Kansas City Airport Hotel. For reservations, call (816) 464-2200. Guests should specifically request the Marriott Kansas City Airport Hotel when dialing this number, and refer to the NTEA or National Truck Equipment Association for the group rate. Reservations must be made by May 1, 2007, to receive the group rate.
