The National Truck Equipment Assn. (NTEA), an organization that supports the work truck industry, has announced the election of five new members to its board of trustees.
The new trustees will be installed during the 39th Annual NTEA Convention, held in conjunction with The Work Truck Show 2003 in Atlanta, Ga. March 2-5.
Three new distributor trustees were elected: Steven Sill, president of Aspen Equipment Co., Minneapolis, Minn.; Stan Covaleskie, president of SIA Truck Bodies, Largo, Fla.; and Dennis Jones, vice president of sales and marketing for Auto Truck Group, Fort Wayne, Ind.
Two new manufacturer trustees were elected: Tom Rawson, CEO of Rawson Koenig — RKI, Houston, Texas; and Harley J. Westfall, president of Adrian Steel Co., Adrian, Mich.
Also serving on the 2003–2004 board are several executive committee members. They include Incoming NTEA President Vic Tedesco, president of Zoresco Equipment Co. — Pittsburgh, Turtle Creek, Pa.; First Vice President Rod Robinson, president of Waltco Truck Equipment Co., Tallmadge, Ohio; Second Vice President Mike Frizzell, president of Royal Truck Body — River City, Sacramento, Calif.; Third Vice President and Treasurer Robert S. The NTEA was established in 1964 and currently represents nearly 1,600 companies that manufacture, distribute, install, sell and repair commercial trucks, truck bodies, truck equipment, trailers and accessories.
Buyers of work trucks and the major commercial truck chassis manufacturers also belong to the association. The NTEA provides in-depth technical information, education and money-saving opportunities through its member programs, publications, services and sponsorship of The Work Truck Show — the only event dedicated exclusively to the Class 1 through 8 commercial truck and transportation equipment market. The Association maintains its administrative headquarters in suburban Detroit and a government relations office in Washington, DC.
