NPTC Launches Fleet Learning Center
The National Private Truck Council (NPTC) has launched the Fleet Learning Center, an online training program designed to enhance the management acumen of the private fleet community
The National Private Truck Council (NPTC) has launched the Fleet Learning Center, an online training program designed to enhance the management acumen of the private fleet community.
"This continuing education opportunity provides private fleet managers with an exciting new vehicle for career growth," says Gary Petty, president and CEO of NPTC. "It allows students to navigate the most current thinking about private fleet management at their own pace through a unique and interactive format designed to customize the learning experience for each individual."
International Truck & Engine Co. and Idealease of North America provided funding to produce the Fleet Learning Center. Both companies continue to be the exclusive, sustaining sponsors of the program.
The content, which encompasses the body of knowledge needed to successfully complete the Certified Transportation Professional (CTP) program, is divided into five modules including fleet finances; safety, security and compliance; equipment and maintenance; operations; and human resources.
Registration for each online training course is $150 for members and $250 for non-members. Access is through the NPTC web site at www.nptc.org or through the Fleet Learning Center itself at www.fleetlearningcenter.org.
NPTC is the national association exclusively representing the interests of corporate and business truck fleets. Fleet membership is for companies operating owned, leased or dedicated truck fleets as an extension or their primary non-trucking business.
