The National Private Truck Council (NPTC) will hold its Annual Education Management Conference and Exhibition May 2-4 in Atlanta at the Omni Hotel at CNN Center and the Georgia World Congress Center.
2004 marks the 65th anniversary of NPTC.
Headlining the conference on Sunday, May 2, will be Sgt. Matt Eversman, who was immortalized in the film "Black Hawk Down" Josh Hartnett played (his character). That motion picture portrays a group of elite U.S. soldiers who were ambushed in Mogadishu, Somalia in 1993 as part of a United Nations peacekeeping operation.
The conference will also feature educational and informational opportunities to address today's most pressing management, transportation and regulatory challenges.
This year, NPTC has added a seventh learning track entitled "Executive Education: Leadership Strategies for the Senior Supply Chain Professional," which will explore many of the issues facing upper management. Other educational tracks include Safety and Compliance, Equipment and Maintenance, Finance, Human Resources, Professional Development and Third Party Logistics.
In addition to educational and learning offerings, attendees will interact with the industry's leading suppliers in the NPTC Exhibition Hall, where today's new product and technology solutions will be on display.
NPTC represents the interests of corporate and business truck fleet managers. Through NPTC, both fleet and allied members come together to share information that enables them to meet the demands of changing business, safety and regulatory issues as well as competitive challenges.
