Nextel Communications Inc. announced it has teamed with Prophesy Transportation Solutions, Inc.
to deliver new, low-cost wireless dispatch solutions to the long-haul trucking market.
The two companies will market new GPS-enabled mobile resource management solutions based on Prophesy's top-selling Prophesy DispatchSeries software. These wireless data solutions delivered to Nextel handsets enable drivers and dispatchers to share and update itinerary, load and job status information paper free, while providing real-time shipment tracking and route mapping, all at breakthrough price points.
