The Council of Fleet Specialists has announced additions to its meeting schedule at the first CFS Executive Enrichment Forum

Jan. 21-24, 2005, at the Sheraton in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
The forum, open to all heavy-duty aftermarket participants, will feature discussion on various topics facing independent distributors and their suppliers. Newly added segments are:
• Steve Sturgess, executive editor of Heavy Duty Trucking magazine will present “Truck Operators as the Foundation of the Aftermarket.” This seminar will explore the inherent strengths and weaknesses of the independent aftermarket, and which factors can best be utilized as the foundation for strong marketing programs.
• Tom Stanford, publisher of RoadStar magazine, will present “Truck Service Operators as Your Customer.” This session will concentrate on the growing importance of independent truck repair shops and truckstops as service providers.
• Craig Fry of Wade&Partners will guide a group study of “A Case for Ethics in the Aftermarket.” This group discussion will tackle some of the difficult situations that pop up every day in today’s’ tough competitive climate.
Three major seminar segments will be lead by D. Bruce Merrifield, one of the country’s leading distribution consultants and authors. Merrifield will focus on:
• How to maximize the effectiveness of independent distribution channels;
• High performance service management;
• How electronic commerce will continue to effect distribution channels.
