Newport Communications editors hit the airwaves during the Mid-America Trucking Show in Louisville, Ky., recently.

Heavy Duty Trucking Executive Editor Steve Sturgess interviewed Mack's powertrain expert David McKenna live on the Midnight Trucking Radio Network about the announcement of Mack's new heavy-haul Titan.
"The Titan puts Mack back in the space vacated by the Super-Liner when its venerable 1000-cubic-inch V-8 could no longer pass emissions certification a decade ago," Sturgess explains. "Mack is back, and McKenna explained how the new 1,000-cubic-inch MP10 in the Titan takes over the mantle with 105 more horsepower, more torque and 99 percent cleaner emissions."
MTRN was being broadcast live from the lobby of the Executive West Hotel, near the Kentucky Expo Center where MATS was held, in the overnight hours between Thursday and Friday.
HDT Senior Equipment Editor Tom Berg made an appearance on "The Lockridge Report" on Sirius Satellite Radio's trucking channel, Road Dog Channel 147. Road Dog shows "The Lockridge Report" and "Freewheelin" were broadcast live from the Sirius booth on the show floor.
Berg has been on "The Lockridge Report" several times recently discussing the latest truck equipment news and trends. At Mid-America, he talked about the biggest product announcements made at the show, including a discussion of new engine technologies to meet 2010 emissions standards. During the broadcast, Berg answered questions from listeners who called in by phone and the live trucking audience at the Sirius Satellite Radio booth.
The host of "The Lockridge Report," Evan Lockridge, is also a contributing editor to Heavy Duty Trucking, writing the Tire & Wheel Report each month and providing news consulting for Truckinginfo.com. "The Lockridge Report" (not connected with Newport Communications) features interviews and listener calls on current trucking issues, whether it's equipment, fuel prices, politics or driver health.
