National Energy Control Services has launched Traction, a proprietary web-based application for monitoring and managing driver safety and performance.


The new tool provides fleets with visibility into the driving records and on-road behaviors of drivers. Using the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration's Comprehensive Safety Analysis 2010 and driving history from motor vehicle reports, the system displays performance trends over time.

The system also helps identify higher-risk drivers, by classifying drivers by performance. Traction automates ordering and adjudication for motor vehicle reports and stores electronic records for compliance.

Traction also features real-time reporting functionality and multiple display capabilities. A reporting dashboard allows for high-level assessment and problem identification.

The tool assigns drivers individually by location, or region to complete interactive online training curriculum across many topics, including violations, inspections, defensive driving and OSHA. Users can track results.
