NavStar Technologies, Inc., which develops asset tracking and monitoring devices for vehicles and high value cargo, has formed a distribution partnership with Rock Hard Systems, Inc., a trucking software developer.
Rock Hard Systems' existing sales force will sell NavStar products and related service to trucking companies in the US. This includes the new Navtrak GPS wireless vehicle tracker solution and service.
"Our focus will be trucking and fleet companies in the US. NavStar products will provide our commercial clients with high quality hardware and new software applications to monitor and track their assets which will increase their efficiency and make them more profitable," said Jay Mitchell, CEO and president, Rock Hard Systems.
"With more than 30 million trucks in the U.S. and with technology improvements in the past several years, this is a market segment we need to aggressively pursue in 2010," said N. Douglas Pritt, chairman and CEO of NavStar. "We will support [Rock Hard's] efforts with hardware, customized software, new features and engineering support as they define the specific requirements of the trucking industry in the U.S."
