NATSO, the trade association representing the truckstop and travel plaza industry, and the Truckload Carriers Association have teamed up to present a joint panel discussion on The Future of Trucking during their upcoming annual conferences in Las Vegas.
In conjunction with the TCA Annual Convention and The NATSO Show, the panel discussion will take place at Caesars Palace on Feb. 27, 2010. It will focus on the critical issues facing trucking and their impact on the truckstop and travel plaza industry in 2010 and beyond. The event is sponsored by Shell Lubricants.
The panel will include Pat Quinn, U.S. Xpress Enterprises co-chairman and president; Jim O'Neal, president of O&S Trucking, Inc.; Kenny Vieth partner and senior analyst at ACT Research; and Ernie Betancourt, former president and CEO of Innovative Computing Corporation and current president of QuikQ.
"The transportation industry must continually transform itself to remain competitive," said Chris Burruss, TCA president. "This session allows opportunities for industry partners to exchange ideas and promote innovations that will chart a roadmap back to profit for everyone's benefit."
"We're crafting a powerhouse event with a clear message: 'Now is the time to create your future,'" said Lisa Mullings, NATSO president and CEO. "This is a pivotal moment to identify steps to take today to prepare our industries for tomorrow's opportunities."
NATSO will host its annual show in Las Vegas Feb. 27 through March 3 at Caesars Palace, while TCA's 2010 annual convention is slated for Feb. 28 to March 3 at the Wynn Las Vegas Resort.
