NationaLease Celebrates 65th Anniversary With Video
NationaLease, Oakbrook Terrace, Ill., will be celebrating its 65th anniversary in 2009 and has posted a video on the history of truck leasing in America on its web site in honor of its accomplishment

The 11-minute video takes the viewer back to the time of the Depression, when tight financing led to the idea of leasing equipment rather than buying it. Later, equipment shortages and rationing during World War II continued the momentum towards the truck leasing concept.
The video includes interviews with the leaders of several of the nation's largest independent truck leasing companies, most of whom are descendants of the original owners. Also interviewed is Douglas Clark, CEO, NationaLease's fifth top executive over the last 65 years. It takes the visitor through the days of transporting goods with horse and carriages through to today's technology-driven transportation services.
