Nashville Peterbilt Inc. dealers Jesse Kirk and John Moore received the Peterbilt North American Dealer of the Year award during the company's annual dealer meeting, according to Peterbilt Motors.
"Jesse and John have helped establish Nashville Peterbilt as one of the premier truck dealerships in the industry," said Nick Panza, Peterbilt general manager and Paccar vice president. "They serve a wide range of customers in a variety of applications by utilizing Peterbilt's full product line. They value the importance of providing customers with complete aftermarket support by offering the full range of Peterbilt's TruckCare Services. Their commitment to customer satisfaction is evident in every area of their business -- sales, service, parts and finance and insurance."
According to Kirk, Nashville Peterbilt involves all of its employees in its efforts to deliver the highest level of customer satisfaction. The dealership enacted a program called G.E.M. -- Going the Extra Mile -- which sets goals for individuals, departments and the dealership.
Quarterly meetings are held with every employee to review progress toward the goals and reward those who met or exceeded goals. A G.E.M. committee -- made up of representatives from every department -- helps keep employees focused on meeting goals, and helps develop training and initiatives for meeting them.
"We work hard toward a common cause -- serving our customers in the best possible way," said Kirk. "We know that every effort is only as good as our last, so we constantly keep customer satisfaction in perspective with the overall health of the dealership."
Kirk and Moore are the principals of American TruckSource, which also owns Dallas Peterbilt, Abilene Peterbilt (Texas), Ft. Worth Peterbilt (Texas), Tyler Peterbilt (Texas), Nashville Peterbilt (Tenn.), Louisville Peterbilt (Ky.) and Birmingham Peterbilt (Ala.).
At its meeting, Peterbilt also named its dealer recipients of the Best in Class award. They include:
Doug Danylchuk, Peterbilt Manitoba-Winnipeg
Stan Dunford and David Climie, Peterbilt of Ontario- London
John Phillips, Valley Peterbilt- Turlock (Calif.)
Marvin and Rusty Rush, Rush Peterbilt Truck Center- Houston
