NAFA Fleet Management Association recognizes the challenges fleet managers face in setting up their organization's sustainability plans and honors those who have implemented pioneering, innovative, and creative programs with NAFA's Sustainable Fleet Awards.
The Association will accept award entry submissions from now until February 17, 2012. Entrants must be Members of NAFA Fleet Management Association to qualify. Applications may be submitted by any individual who is directly employed in a vehicle management role by any company, utility, government agency, or not for profit organization in the United States or Canada.
A NAFA Member can nominate themselves and/or their fleet team. Non-members, suppliers, vendors, and others may nominate NAFA Members, but the Member being nominated must sign the entry form being submitted.
A distinguished panel including representatives from OEM manufacturers, automotive publishing companies, leasing companies, and fleet managers from private and public sectors will judge the entries. The criteria for judging includes originality, innovativeness, and demonstrated accomplishment for reducing energy consumption.
2012 Sustainable Fleet Award winners will be announced during a special ceremony at NAFA's 2012 Institute & Expo, which takes place April 21-24 at the America's Center in St. Louis, MO.
Last year's Sustainable Fleet Award winners included:

- Amy Leddy, Manager National Program Management, Liberty Mutual
- Angela Sherick-Bright, Acting Assistant General Manager, City of Los Angeles
