LTL carrier Roadway Express Inc., Akron, Ohio, has enabled its web site to provide accurate, personalized, real-time rate quotes
for a range of guaranteed and expedited delivery options.
The site is at my.roadway.com.
At my.roadway.com, customers can compare individualized rates online. They can select from multiple service level options, eliminating the need to shop by phone or wait for emailed rate quotes. My.roadway.com also offers specific rate quotes for customers moving shipments to and from the interior of Mexico.
The rate quote application allows customers to input the ZIP code, weight, dimensions and class of their shipment, then view a display of guaranteed service products and time-critical rates by 5 p.m., by noon or within a specified one-hour time window.
After selecting the preferred delivery method, customers can fill out an online bill of lading and complete pickup request forms. Customers also have access to proactive tracking with real-time status updates on all active shipments in the Roadway system, e-tracking to receive e-mail updates as shipments move through the system or upon final delivery, and invoices with links to their corresponding shipping documents, payment history and customized reports.
Roadway, the nation’s largest LTL carrier, recently entered an agreement to be acquired by Yellow, the nation’s second largest LTL.
