Museum Seeks Help Relocating USAir 1549 Wreckage from New Jersey to Charlotte
If any heavy haulers have a few days and a truck to spare, here's a chance to haul into the history books

The museum has made a deal with the owner of the salvage, and is now trying to get the airliner to Charlotte from New Jersey.
The Carolinas Aviation Museum in Charlotte, N.C. is building a unique display for the Airbus A320 aircraft famously ditched in the Hudson River by pilots Chesley Sullenberger and Jeff Skiles two years ago. The museum plans to set up the aircraft intact in a display that mimics the hull floating semi-submerged on the river.
The museum has made a deal with the current owner of the salvage, but is now looking for a way to get the airliner to Charlotte from New Jersey.
"We are in tough economic times right now," Interim Mayor Patrick Cannon, leader of the relocation effort, told WIS TV. "And so all you can do is ask and that's what we're doing."
Donations to the transportation fund can be made directly to the Carolinas Aviation Museum at 704-906-8277 or can be mailed to the museum at 4672 First Flight Drive, Charlotte, N.C., 28208.
