Wabco, a producer of electronic braking and stability control systems to the global commercial vehicle industry, has been named a winner by the Motortec Innovation jury for its Electronic Braking System for Trailers (EBS-E)

Wabco's T-EBS E modulator.
Wabco was recognized in the category, "Contribution to Innovation in Commercial Vehicles." The company also received a special mention for its Expert Diagnostics aftermarket workshop solution. The jury composed of representatives from technology institutes, press and industry consultants, selected winning products based on a number of criteria such as functionality, design and quality. The award ceremony will take place on May 9, at the
Motortec trade show in Madrid, Spain (May 9-13).
"I am particularly proud of these awards as they recognize
innovations in both our original equipment (OE) and aftermarket sectors," said Jacques Esculier, president of Wabco. "Innovation is not just about technology. It is about creating solutions that respond to our customers' needs by contributing to increased performance, longer vehicle life and lower operating costs.
"Our fully-integrated OE and
aftermarket capabilities mean Wabco can support a vehicle through its entire life cycle," Esculier added.
Trailer EBS-E is Wabco's latest innovation in electronic braking systems. In 1996, the company pioneered the development and launch of EBS for commercial vehicles. It offers trailer manufacturers a streamlined, optimized solution that will cut down on installation time. In addition, fleet operators benefit from more efficient operation and maintenance.
