Fleetilla Inc., Trenton, Mich., anounced that Morris & Dickson Co. has selected Fleetilla’s FL 1700 Trailer Tracking for its private delivery fleet.
Morris & Dickson, Shreveport, La., is a pharmaceutical wholesaler that delivers to pharmacies and hospitals throughout the south and southwest.
The Fleetilla system tracks trailer positions in the United States, Canada and Mexico using the Aeris.net land-based cellular system for communication. The Aeris.net MicroBurst network claims to cover 98% of the populated areas of the U.S. and 100% of the populated areas of Canada and Mexico.
Fleetilla’s trailer tracking includes a small GPS hardware device and online real-time mapping tools to track trailer positions. The maps and management applications are accessed through a standard web browser. Customers have no software to install or maintain. Fleetilla’s mapping system allows users to zoom in and out on detailed maps that precisely show trailer positions.
