Mitsubishi Fuso Truck of America Inc. announced that it has consolidated a significant portion of its medium-duty truck inventory at its port facilities in Baltimore, where they can be delivered immediately to its dealers across the affected states to aid in Hurricane Sandy relief efforts.
The available trucks include FUSO Canter road-ready commercial trucks with van bodies, as well as cab-chassis vehicles that can be upfitted with any necessary vocational body.
According to Todd Bloom, president and CEO of MFTA, "We know many businesses and organizations have lost trucks in the recent disaster trucks they need to get back on their feet delivering their products and services. In addition, trucks will be needed to haul away debris and to supply the rebuilding effort.
"We are in the process now of assessing the needs and making the necessary arrangements to consolidate inventory in our port facilities in Baltimore for rapid deployment to our dealers across the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast."
