Mitchell 1 Launches Tractor-Trailer.net
Mitchell 1, veteran provider of technical information for vehicle maintenance, service and repair, has announced its web-based heavy-duty vehicle service and repair information database, Tractor-Trailer.net.

Tractor-Trailer.net is a complete service and repair information source for all heavy-duty tractors, dry vans and reefers dating back to 1990.
Updated monthly, Tractor-Trailer.net will require no software installation and comes complete with tractor, trailer and reefer service and repair information, including sub-circuit color wiring diagrams for more than 1,100 Class 7 & 8 tractors, 1,800 trailers, and 200 reefers.
Content will include service and repair information for:
• Automatic, manual and automated manual transmissions
• Single and Tandem axles
• Air and ABS brakes
• Spring and air suspension
• Over 6,000 color wiring diagrams
• Over 100,000 graphic illustrations
• Over 3,000 unique year/make/model configurations
To write the Tractor-Trailer.net database, Mitchell 1 employed a staff of 45 ASE certified technicians – with 23 of them Truck Certified and 13 being Master Truck Certified. ASE certification is only awarded to technicians that have at least two years of hands-on experience and pass one or more of ASE’s 40 rigorous specialty exams.
This easy-to-navigate web-based product features:
• IP Authentication – eliminates the need to remember a password
• VIN Decoder – allows users to gather comprehensive vehicle information without first knowing the exact year/make/model
• Access for five users simultaneously
• Internal & External Hyperlinks – allows users to jump several pages forward or backward within an article or to jump from one article to another, thus eliminating unnecessary scrolling
• Circuit Select – lets users trace and highlight wiring circuits, isolate circuits using different colors, and hide unneeded circuits
• Quick & Full Word Search with Text Highlighting
• Trouble codes linked to diagnostic solutions
• Repair History – allows technicians to rapidly return to their last 50 lookups
“After 80 years of providing repair information to the transportation industry, we know just how difficult it is to get good, solid service information for heavy-duty vehicles,” stated Dave Costantino, director of heavy-duty market development for Mitchell 1. “With the trucking industry experiencing a critical diesel technician shortage, two years ago we decided to form our own team of highly skilled diesel technicians, each with a specialized area of expertise. The end result is an easily understood, simple to navigate service and repair database, designed by technicians for technicians.”
Tractor-Trailer.net is available to fleets, owner-operators, truck stop owners, independent service facilities, dealerships and technical training schools.
