Sirius Satellite Radio announced that Road Dog Trucking Radio, dedicated to the professional truck driver, will broadcast live from the 2007 Mid-America Trucking Show in Louisville, today through Saturday.
The Road Dog crew will broadcast from the Freightliner booth (No. 3210) in the South Wing of the Kentucky Exposition Center and be joined by special guests such as Charlie Daniels and Tony Stewart.
The entire on-air team of Road Dog Trucking Radio, Sirius channel 147 will bring listeners three days of trucking radio. The team includes Charlie Daniels, "King of the Road Dogs," Carl P. Mayfield & The P-Team, Freewheelin' with Meredith Ochs and Chris T., HammerDown Radio with DJ RigRocker, Open Road Café with Mark Willis and Elizabeth Walsh, and Midnight Trucking with Eric Harley and Gary McNamara.
Highlights of the Sirius broadcast include the following special guest appearances:
• Charlie Daniels, legendary entertainer and "official voice" of Road Dog Trucking Radio, scheduled to appear on-air with his old buddy Carl P. Mayfield 3 p.m. ET today.
• Tony Stewart, tw0-time NASCAR Nextel Cup Series champion and host of Tony Stewart Live on Sirius NASCAR Radio channel 128, scheduled to appear live on-air today at 3 p.m. with Carl P. Mayfield; his appearance will be followed by an autograph signing session. NASCAR Nextel Cup driver Kasey Kahne, also scheduled to appear with Carl P. Mayfield.
• Joey Holiday, trucking music performer, joins DJ RigRocker for a special edition of HammerDown Radio on Friday at 2 p.m. ET
• Members of the Chrome Shop Mafia (stars of CMT's Trick My Truck) on Freewheelin' with Meredith Ochs and Chris T. on Saturday at 2 pm. ET.
Other guests scheduled to appear include Brock Ray and Don Kirk from the Interstate Sportsman cable television show; Jessica Chornesky, the director of Alligators on the Zipper, a new film about women in trucking; biodiesel expert Dale Decker of Decker Truck Line; trucking nutritionists Don Jacobson and Pam Whitfield of Roadcookin'; and award-winning trucking journalist Tim Brady of Write Up the Road publications.
