The sun was out, the breezes were mild and sure enough, the crowds turned out in grand style for the opening of the Mid-America Trucking Show
Thursday at the Kentucky Fair & Exposition Center in Louisville.
The major suppliers of trucks and truck equipment filled three enormous halls with eye-popping displays, with lots of fun stuff around the edges. That doesn’t include the expanded displays outside or the dazzling array of masterfully perfected trucks on display in the Stars & Stripes Truck Beauty Championship.
The doors opened at 10 a.m. for VIPs, and for three hours, it was a genteel affair. At 1 p.m., the doors opened for the rest of us, and the bustling show was quickly at the speed limit with the cruise on.
